ABOUT US

Barbara Ackerman

When people ask Barb Ackerman what she does at Spirit Graphics and Printing, Inc., she aptly tells them she is the CEO Girl Friday of the company. In plain language that means that though she's at the top, she still loves being involved on the shop floor. Barb started Spirit Graphics and Printing, Inc. out of her garage in 1983, and it's grown into one of the most honored and respected printing and design companies in southern California. If you were looking for Barb on any given day, you'd be as likely to find her behind a desk crunching numbers as you would with her sleeves rolled up, working in the bindery. But don't be fooled by her superb work ethic; Barb also knows how to have fun outside of the office. She has been playing 3-on-3 senior basketball for the last 13 years, and has competed in four national senior Olympics! Later this year Barb will celebrate 50 years of marriage to her husband, Thomas, with whom she shares four grandchildren, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
